Frequently asked questions

Do I need a credit card to use Starter?

No. Create an employer account and publish on Starter with no payment. You only enter card details if you choose Growth or Spotlight and complete checkout for that paid listing.

What is the difference between Starter, Growth, and Spotlight?

All three include the same employer dashboard tools (posting, pipeline, messaging with pause and close, date visibility, per-company public profiles, notifications, exports). Starter is no-cost for the duration shown on its card. Growth is a paid plan with a longer listing run than Starter. Spotlight is the top paid plan: it adds the homepage featured jobs section for the configured period, a Featured badge on the public job page, and Spotlight jobs are sorted ahead of Starter and Growth when job seekers browse the job list. Day counts and prices are on the cards above.

How does Spotlight’s homepage placement and Featured badge work?

On the Spotlight plan, your job can appear in the homepage featured jobs section for the number of days set for this portal (see the Spotlight card). The public job page also shows a Featured badge. In browse/search, Spotlight jobs are ordered before Growth and Starter listings.

Can I change my plan after the job is already live?

On a live job, the plan is read-only in Edit posting. You can still move from Starter to a paid tier: use Set draft on Manage jobs, pick Growth or Spotlight, complete checkout, then publish again. Once a job is live as a paid posting (after checkout), its tier cannot be changed — duplicate the posting, choose a different plan on the copy, and check out there. Pause or close the old listing if you no longer need it public.

Is there a limit on how many Starter jobs I can run?

You can have one active Starter (no-cost) listing per company at a time. Growth and Spotlight listings you publish are counted separately, so you can keep other roles live on paid plans while still using your Starter slot.

Can I manage more than one company from the same employer account?

Yes. Add multiple companies under one login and switch company context when posting jobs or reviewing activity. Permissions and listings are scoped per company.

How can job seekers apply to my jobs?

You choose the methods per job: in-platform apply (profile and resume on this site), or options such as email, phone, mailing address, walk-in details, or an external application URL. Job seekers only see what you enable. In-platform interest shows up in your employer dashboard where you can update status and message applicants — pause a conversation temporarily or close it when hiring for that role is done.

What payment methods are accepted, and is tax included?

We use Stripe Checkout. Major credit and debit cards are accepted; card data is handled by Stripe and not stored on our servers. Prices are in Canadian dollars; applicable taxes are calculated at checkout where Stripe Tax applies.

Is the charge a one-time fee or a subscription?

One-time per listing when you publish on Growth or Spotlight. There is no monthly employer subscription — you pay at checkout for that posting, not on a recurring bill.
